So today has been an excellent food day but (there's always a but!) I've just eaten a ridiculous amount of food today.
It started off well - two Weetabix with a sliced banana & semi-skimmed milk plus a glass of water.
On my way to work I stopped at Tesco in Borehamwood for a few bits - ha ha!! This is a physical impossibility regardless of my well written list I always end up buying more than I intended & this Tesco is especially big so temptation is particularly prevalent. Also I'm the target audience for BOGOFs, 50% offs, BTGOF etc - cant resist them.
I needed floor cleaner & bleach but came out with two of each of 6 different household cleaning things - all on BOGOF - at least they don't go off!!
Then for some cereal - I went for Weetabix Crunchy Bran (you can have 42g of that - most cereals are 28g) and came out with three boxes of cereal because they were on buy three get cheapest free.
Then to the food for my lunch - I bought some fruit (strawberries, blackberries, cherries), 2 boxes of tomatoes, a box of crispy salad & some peppered salmon.
During the course of today I've eaten the lot as well as a peach that was already at work and a litre of water - I've done a great deal of work too (completely caught up with all my e-mails, wrote the first draft of an important document, finalised minutes etc) but I just needed to keep noshing. Although it was all 'good' food (not the biscuits & other nosh I could have had) it has made me realise that quantity and quality are important too. Also I think I need to concentrate more on the composition of each plate of food - maybe add in more carbs (rice, pasta, potatoes) than I'm eating just now as I think they will sustain me for longer.
Tomorrow, is my day off and I'm going to Curves for 9am, then to have my hair cut & coloured ready for the party on Saturday (a 40th - I'm going to feel ancient but don't want to look it!) and then back home to watch the tennis
Come on Andy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
