Day 28 - At last it stopped raining!

So today it stopped raining :0) & I've had a lovely day.

Had a banana & yoghurt for breakfast with a full glass of water & a black coffee then off out to the gym.
Just before going in remembered to phone my dad to wish him Happy Fathers Day. Felt a bit guilty as we took mum out for dinner on Mothers Day but got over it as remembered they were going out for lunch with friends. He was on good form this morning :)

Then in to the gym & burned off 473 cals today which is the best for a while & really felt like I'd worked hard!
Then stopped on way home for some shopping. Had to stop at the lovely bread shop in Stanmore for some beigels, pitta & choc croissants - strangely not tempted at all to buy anything (but it is 'weigh-day' tomorrow). Really pleased with my new more positive outlook to choices :)

Next stop home for lunch but ended up taking Toby to play tennis. Decided to pop in to garden centre in Headstone Lane to buy grow bags & compost as well as some pots. Didn't realise that I'd also be doing some weight lifting as it was very heavy so with the lifting in & out of car & through into garden when I got home, my muscles had a heavy work out today!

With the house briefly to myself I made a big fruit salad (melon, kiwi, blueberries & strawberries) - hate making fruit salad but love eating it! - & then caught up on an episode of Eastenders (must be going soft as felt quite sorry for Janine!). Oh & ate some fruit salad with fromage frais - fat free of course!

The off to collect Toby & a trip to David Lloyd in Sudbury Hill. Toby really wants to join & having had the 'guided tour & hard sell' I can see why but it's £58 pm for him (or £31 if I join too - £89 for me) - very expensive but if he goes regularly he can use all the facilities (swimming pool. gym, tennis etc). The pool was lovely but don't think I'd use anything else - don't know what to do so at the moment doing nothing!!

Then back home & as the sun had now come out I decided to do some planting - as well as all these (below) I also potted up three large planters with fuchsias - my favourites - which I forgot to photograph.
In the middle of the planting my friend Michelle phoned from NY (very hard having your very good friends so far away - ) & we had a good catch up. Time goes so fast & we all get so busy that you forget how quickly the time goes!

Tonight I've had dinner (tongue with carrots & beetroot) & some very cold fizzy water which was delicious.

Very busy this week with lots of difficult food days so must be organised.

Out for lunch tomorrow & then at an early evening meeting, Tues lots of stuff for boys, Wed Toby to school at 3.30am for a school trip to Ypres then off to KCL with Dom, etc etc - I'm up for it though and determined to still keep control of what goes into my mouth :)

Have a good week xx
