Day 20 - the massage & food shopping!

Hi All

Sorry if two posts in one day is confusing but I couldn't post last night (no Internet) so posted that first thing & here is the official day 20 offering.

So woke up this morning with pains in my neck & right shoulder (it's been moving around) but with slight relief that Natalie was coming today to 'fix it' (I hoped). The pain was 'nagging' but I was busy (you know how that is) so did my chores before taking boys to various venues. By the time I got home Andrew had finished his massage & it was my turn (still no food & not much water!) Sat down to discuss medical history & feelings on massage (not over keen) - interesting because I'm not sure why I'm not keen but I'm not! She thought it might relate to not allowing myself time for me (probably a good point) but also that the only massage I felt did anything was the one I had earlier this year which was very firm - others have felt a bit 'strokey' (not sure if that's a word) rather than therapeutic. Anyway I had the massage & apparently the muscles & nerves in my right shoulder are so tense that it is higher than my left one - another deformity but this one she can fix!! I have to say that it was quite painful but I do feel it did some good & my neck doesn't hurt as much this afternoon - going to have a warm soak later too. She has suggested that I have another one next week because I still need work (story of my life!) & I just might because apart from anything else it was nice to have the time to myself :0)

So then I had to collect Dom from Pinner & took a pear & drank 750ml water which I demolished at speed - note to self: must always eat breakfast because if I get too hungry I get 'tempted'.

Came home & had lunch with Dom - chicken sandwich for him & chicken salad for me & we shared a box of cherries. Then off to Waitrose! I like to vary my supermarkets & also I like to shop myself - don't get me wrong Internet food shops are excellent when you need bulk because the nice man brings it all into your kitchen but I like to prod the fresh produce before I buy & you cant do that via the computer screen! Today I decided that I would only buy what was on my list - this is a good thing because it meant I didn't come back with any sweets, choc, biscuits, choc rolls (!) etc.

Tonight we are having some lovely plaice I bought in Waitrose with a tomato sauce & veggies. kids are both out so will have to do the collection thing later but will be able to veg out in front of 'So you think you can dance' without disturbance!

Hoping to go to the gym tomorrow if neck feels ok - will let you know.
Lxx
